Chris asked: I used to have really bad acne that covered basically my whole face, mostly my cheeks. I still get zits that pop up now and then, but its totally manageable. Now, the problem I’m having is that I have a bunch of scarring left over on my cheeks from the acne I used to have. I have been using the ProActiv 3-step system and i also have been using ProActiv’s skin lightening lotion, though i havent noticed much of an improvement. I dont have any deep scarring or anything, but its about moderate. I hate having these marks on my face and ive been trying to get rid of them for a while. Is there any easy-enough solution to getting rid of moderate acne scarring without having to get involved in surgical processes such as dermabrasion?

alli asked: I’ve had bad acne all over my cheeks and chin since 8th grade (I’m 16 now). I’ve tried a lot of stuff, Clearasil (not sure how to spell that), Proactiv, Benzol Peroxide and lots of other face washes but nothing seems to work. I even went to the doctor and got birth control pills because they r supposed to help your skin but those didn’t work either. It’s really embarrassing and horrible and if anybody has any suggestions, please help. Can anyone suggest good acne creams, washes, etc?

jerrri asked: I’ve had acne problems since I was twelve, for eight years. I’m twenty now and its not nearly as bad as it once was but sometimes i have breakouts. I’ve been on every acne medication known to man, most of it worked to some extent but the majority of oral medications have dangerous side effects and I’m quite sick of the topical stuff, it makes my face so dry and I have heard it increases the risk of skin cancer.
So what can i do to get rid of this acne, Right now I’m just washing my face about four times a day and using clearasil cream every night, but its really messing up the skin on my face. I don’t have many acne problems when I use it, though. I’ve heard all the advice about acne like don’t touch your face, don’t eat greasy foods, etc. I’m doing all this stuff, but still having some problems. Is there a natural way to prevent this acne?

jlee05 asked: Everything seems to have salycic acid in it! And all I keep hearing is how proactiv dries skin really bad or just doesn’t seem to really work on the cystic acne. I don’t want to take antibiotics or go on expensive drugs like accutane. Is there anything over-the-counter that could help?

Cindy asked: I’ve tried so many acne products, including proactive, tea tree oil, spectro gel, neutrogena, home remedies, and nothing could get rid of my acne. I then took accutane, which cures acne, and it worked, but a year later it came back so I took it a second time. Now it’s a year later after my second time using accutane, and my face is getting horrible again (you can’t take Accutane more than 2 times). What can I do?

The Luna Divider asked: Like, I’ve never had an acne problem. Never more than a pimple or two on my face, for which I am very glad. And I’m 16! But then I see some guys at school with their face covered in pimples. And most people just fall in between, with enough pimples on their face. What determines how bad your acne is? I know it has to do with hormones and puberty, but do your hormones directly influence the level of acne?
Oh yes I do consider myself lucky, I keep wondering when my luck will run out!
